First photo shoot!!

Not much has really happened lately but yesterday we hit a big milestone (at least in my opinion) for Alana - she is 6 MONTHS OLD!!! I can't believe how time has just flown by and we have enjoyed EVERY MINUTE! Yes even the crying nights (which thankfully have not been that many). The Lord has truly blessed us with an awesome baby. We continually have people ask us "Is she always this good?" Yes, I am grateful to answer, she is. She is such a good baby and we have been so blessed to have her in our lives.

So here is a little photo shoot that I did to celebrate her 6 months. Enjoy!

oh by the way these pics were taken with David's new camera a nikon D200 that he bought off ebay and we have realized that it only focuses really good part of the time, so many of the pictures are not sharp, which is really REALLY annoying (did I mention REALLY annoying) so sorry if they are not perfectly sharp. He is planning on sending it into Nikon later this week. UPS messed it up in shipping we know this cause the guy we bought it from sent us some pictures that he took right before sending it to us and they are perfect. We have tried to dispute it with UPS but all they say is that there was "insufficient packaging".

Just an update

Wow, it's been awhile since I've posted but really not much has been going on around here.

So here's just a small rundown.

I went to Safeway yesterday and got 146 dollars worth of groceries for 58 - that wasn't to bad. I have to admit though that about 20 of it was the Nature Valley Granola bars that they have on sale for 1$ a box. And I did not realize how good the Vanilla Nut bars are - WoW! I'm going back to get more. (and for a buck ~ I don't even think Costco beats that price).

Lately I've been doing the two week meal planning that Rachel suggested on her blog which I know she got from someone else's blog, I've been going pretty good - I know David enjoys coming home to a nice meal instead of having to scrounge for whatever is handy. But his complaint is that now he's getting even fatter cause it's so good he just wants to keep eating:) I guess that's not too bad.

Alana is doing great, she just rolls and rolls - well when I let her on the floor anyway, my floor is not the cleanest. She's so sweet, she has been giggling and laughing so much lately, and is very vocal now in response to me talking to her - what a sweety!

Tomorrow we are going to my nephew Spencer's birthday party in tri-cities where David's brother live (Spencer's dad). That should be fun, I think we may go to church with them too, but we're not quite sure yet.

Well that's about it. Hope you all have a great weekend!

Just a couple of pics

We went to a valentine's party at my sister ward cause they wanted David to take pictures - we had a good time.

I just love this picture of Alana - it really brings out the blue of her eyes - she for sure got David's eyes and I'm so glad cause I wouldn't want the poor girl to be cursed with my brown eyes. P.S. the blog site doesn't do the picture justice - if you can make it a bigger picture it looks much better.

So Glad!

Yay! no more plowing - at least for now. I had to plow again on Wed for 6 hours and I was SO EXAUSTED! So yesterday I just sat home and vegged out. Today I'm going to venture out and get all the ingredients for Turtle Cupcakes

I'm so proud of myself!

Okay so that title was a bit over the top but really I feel like I did actually get something worthwhile done today instead of sitting on my butt all day.

I snowplowed the church parking lots today - all by myself! It took about five hours of plowing, but over all it wasn't to bad. My clutch leg is a little sore but otherwise no worse for wear. David has a contract with the church to do Union, Island City, The Stake Center, and the Seminary building. Granted David did the Seminary building and when we went out to Union there wasn't enough to plow but I did do the Stake center - that took about 4 hours. And by the time I got out to Island city most of it had melted so it was just a bit of clean-up. So it looks like I've found my new job- I'm kind of glad, cause not only is it fun (well at times anyways) but now I will get to see David some more YAY!! I'm glad I can help him, I know he appreciates it:)

I miss My Hubby:(

I can't believe how much over-time David has been getting lately - he's STILL working even, and it's almost one in the morning!

But what he's doing has to be done tonight or laundry up at the hospital would be down one washer for the weekend and David is really trying to avoid that if he can.

I think in the past two weeks he's gotten about 33 hours of overtime (depending upon how long he stays tonight of course). That's a record for sure.

PLUS he's gotten over 17 hours of snowplowing in over the past two weeks!

Wow, no wonder why I haven't seen my husband lately (adding it all up kindof stunned me).

Well I guess we'll be gettin a pretty decent check:)

But I'm sad to not see him much:(

I really don't like being home alone without my hubby... Well best be off to bed... Good nite (Sorry honey I tried waiting up but I... Just... Couldn't... Make... It..........

UPDATE: David ended up getting home about 15 min later, he said the company sent him the wrong part so he wasn't able to get the dumb thing finished anyway.
